Hi Stampers!
I just love this Bug me stamp set!

Are the boots not just the most adorable things ever?  For this card I used Wild Wasabi and Certainly Celery with a highlight of Real Red.  I think the balance is enough that I don't think it comes off as Christmasy as it could!  The only thing really trick on this card is the button, and no, I did not use my Big Shot and embosslit.  To make the button I simple punched three 3/4" circles out, punched to thread holes, glued them together and added a coat of Crystal Effects to the top to make it shiny.  The hardest thing about Crystal effects is waiting for it to dry.  I'm not patient enough so I stick my finger in it to check and make a little blob- so if you use crystal effects please be patient!  I put a little baker's twine on the button to finish it off.  Very Cute!

This is a very soft color palate using Bashful Blue, Baja Blue, So Safron, and Basic Black.  This is a very quick Clean and Simple (CAS) card for when you are in a hurry!

Gift box

Hi Stampers!
I'm on the road so posts will be sporadic over the next couple of weeks, please bear with me.  Today's post is a project I made for a hostess gift.  You can see I make a  lot of cards, cards make a nice gift (who doesn't use cards?  If you don't, you should!  It makes EVERYONE'S day to receive a card in the mail that is not a bill!).  I made a box that holds 10 cards with envelopes- here it is:

Please excuse the photo quality- I'm using my daughter's MAC, which I know has terrific editing capabilities, but is only as smart as it's user, me, and I don't know how to use it!
The box measures 4 3/4 x 6 x 1 1/4".  To make it I cut the bottom Piece of Close to Cocoa card stock (retired) at 7 1/4 x 8 1/2" then scored all the way around at 1 1/4" with my Simply Scored tool.  I did the same for the top using a retired DSP on cutting it 1/8" larger to begin with.  The ribbon is also a retired product, to cute to not use.

Hi Stampers!
Today I have something fun to show you.  It is not stamped.

I was in such a hurry when I finished it I didn't have time to find a better backdrop for it to take a good photo.  I punched stars out of Night of Navy card stock, slit the end of some red straws, inserted stars into straws, added curling ribbon and voila!  They looked very much like sparklers and the cake was a huge hit at the party we attended.  There is so much you can do with Stampin' Up card stock and punches that isn't just stamping and IS fun.

Mish Mash

Hi Stampers!
Today I'm posting a card that I made to use a couple of different techniques.  First, I had the sewing machine out for a project that I was working on and wanted to try gather DSP using actual stitches.  I'm not in love with this so I will probably never do it again (never say never).  I just ran a row of very loose stitches up the middle of a strip of DSP and then gently gathered.

It gave a rumply ribbon type look.  The next thing I did was "suede" technique on the blue scallop circle punch.  To do this you crumple up your card stock and smooth it out several times.  If you have the crimper you can run it through that several times as well.  When you think you are crazy, rub it over the edge of the table several times.  What this eventually does is break down all the fibers in the card stock and you can pull it apart into 2 pieces that are very soft and sueded.  Is sueded not a word?  My spell checker does not like it but I'm keeping it.
I used Creative Elements stamp set, Midnight Muse and the new Raspberry card stock, Midnight Muse and Basic Black ink pad, Versamark ink pad, Scallop circle punch and 1 1/4" circle punch, an embossing folder, and Teeny Tiny wishes.

Hi Stampers,
Just a quick note to let you know I'm thinking of you today!

This is a 2 x 2" notecard, Crumbcake and Whisper White card stock, Pool Party Bakers twine, stamped with Jet Black Stazon ink and watercolered with aquapainters, Pool Party, So Safron, Certainly Celery, and Crumb Cake ink. 
Oh yes, the stamp set is the new Storybook Friends!
